Hey there, Gallatin County! 🎉 We’ve got some exciting news buzzing through the valley. Voters recently gave the thumbs up to form local government study commissions for Gallatin County, the City of Bozeman, and the Town of West Yellowstone. Now, these commissions need YOU to make a difference!

What’s the Deal?

These study commissions, made up of awesome everyday citizens, will dive deep into the nitty-gritty of local government structures and powers. Think of it as a makeover show for local government—reviewing, suggesting, and spiffing things up to make them work better for everyone.

How Many Seats Are Up for Grabs?

  • Gallatin County: 7 seats
  • City of Bozeman: 5 seats
  • Town of West Yellowstone: 3 seats

Ready to Step Up? Here’s How:

  1. Live and Vote Local: You must live and be a registered voter in the area you want to represent.
  2. No Double-Dipping: You can’t already hold an elected position in the local governments being studied.

Mark your calendars: The filing deadline is August 12.

  • Get the Form: Complete a filing form.
  • Where to File: Drop it off at the Gallatin County Elections Office, second floor of the Gallatin County Courthouse, 311 W. Main St., downtown Bozeman.
